Nursing and Health Sciences Courses Offered

1. Higher Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing

  • Duration: 1 Year
  • Qualification: Registration as an Auxiliary Nurse
  • Overview: Offers basic patient care training and support services in various healthcare settings.

2. Diploma in Nursing (General Nurse – R171)

  • Duration: 3 Years
  • Qualification: Registered General Nurse
  • Overview: Trains students to manage a wide range of conditions and operate a nursing unit.

3. Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care

  • Duration: 1 Year
  • Qualification: Emergency Care Assistant
  • Overview: Prepares students for work in emergency medical service settings. Registered with HPCSA.

4. Diploma in Emergency Medical Care

  • Duration: 2 Years
  • Qualification: Advanced Life Support Paramedic
  • Overview: Intensive training in emergency and trauma care. Graduates register with HPCSA as paramedics.

5. Higher Certificate in Diagnostic and Procedural Coding

  • Duration: 1 Year
  • Qualification: Clinical Coder
  • Overview: Equips graduates with skills in data analysis, clinical coding, and healthcare data management.
