Salary Package

The successful candidate will receive an annual salary package ranging from: R138 486.00 – R163 131.00 per annum, plus additional government benefits.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the Cleaner vacancy, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• AET Level 4 (Standard 7 or Grade 9 report) up to Grade 12
• At least six months of appropriate cleaning experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Honest, reliable, and physically fit for demanding duties
• Willingness to rotate shifts when required
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The appointed Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards within the health facility. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning interior and exterior areas, including offices, consulting rooms, passages, waiting areas, toilets, showers, and bathrooms
• Dusting, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and polishing floors
• High dusting of walls, surfaces, and fixtures
• Cleaning windows, stairs, lifts, fire escapes, cupboards, fridges, and microwaves
• Cleaning medical equipment and dustbins
• Assisting with laundry duties
• Cleaning spillages and assisting with decontamination and disinfecting of areas
• Removing general and medical waste in line with Health Care Waste and Infection Prevention and Control guidelines
• Serving meals and washing utensils
• Performing any other duties as delegated by the supervisor
