Purpose of the YES Learnership Programme

The DHL YES Learnership Programme aims to provide young people with meaningful workplace exposure in the supply chain and logistics sector. Learners will gain hands‑on experience while developing skills that enhance future employability.

Successful candidates will assist with loading and offloading duties, follow delivery procedures, carry out instructions from team leaders and management, and uphold the integrity and standards of DHL at all times.


Duties and Responsibilities

Participants will be expected to:

  • Learn and adhere to client requirements
  • Use equipment correctly and report any defects
  • Report and record non‑conformities related to customer merchandise
  • Work within operational areas as identified by management
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Comply with all Health and Safety standards
  • Contribute to a productive and professional working environment
  • Participate in stock counts
  • Complete all tasks within required timeframes

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Unemployed youth aged 18–29 years
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)

Advantageous but not mandatory:

  • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
  • Valid Forklift or Reach Truck licence
