The Clicks Group YES Programme 2026 is now open, offering unemployed South African youth an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the health and beauty retail sector while earning a recognised qualification.

This programme forms part of the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, which aims to tackle youth unemployment by providing structured workplace experience and skills development across major companies in South Africa.

About the Clicks YES Programme

The Clicks Youth Employment Programme is designed to provide a combination of theoretical learning and practical retail experience. Participants will work in a real Clicks store environment while completing structured classroom training.

Programme focus:

• Retail store operations
• Customer service and sales support
• Point-of-sale and checkout processes
• Professional workplace behaviour and teamwork

On successful completion, learners will receive an NQF Level 2 Checkout Operator Qualification, which improves employability in the retail sector.

What You Will Learn

Participants in the Clicks YES Programme will develop essential workplace and retail skills, including:

• Operating a point-of-sale system
• Assisting customers in a professional retail environment
• Handling transactions and managing cash responsibly
• Understanding store merchandising and product displays
• Working as part of a team in a fast-paced retail setting

This combination of classroom and practical training ensures that learners leave the programme with both knowledge and real work experience.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Clicks YES Programme 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must be between 18 and 29 years old
• Must have passed Matric / Grade 12
• Must be currently unemployed
• Must not be registered on another learnership or skills programme
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work well in a team and show willingness to learn

These requirements align with the national guidelines of the YES initiative.
