What You Will Do During the Internship

Successful applicants will be placed within Eskom’s Distribution division, where they will support operational and administrative functions in customer service and retail operations.

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with customer service and enquiries
• Supporting administrative and operational processes
• Learning Eskom’s systems, policies, and procedures
• Gaining exposure to the electricity distribution environment

This hands-on experience helps participants build practical skills while learning how South Africa’s energy utility operates.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for Eskom YES Internships 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen
• Be 18 to 34 years old
• Have Grade 12
• Mathematics: 50% or Maths Literacy: 70%
• English: 60% plus at least one other official South African language
