Duties and Responsibilities

Table Metadata (Extract and Transform)

For each table in the Extract layer:

1. Identify the SSIS package name used to load the table
2. If no SSIS package exists, identify the related stored procedure and add it to the SSIS conversion priority list
3. Record the source system and original table name
4. Determine how often the data is updated (frequency)
5. Identify key columns used for updates (e.g. ID, Created_At, Updated_At)
6. Document any indexes associated with the table
7. Specify the SSIS solution/project name
8. Identify procedures used for post-SSIS inserts and updates
9. List any other procedures that reference this table

For each table in the Transform layer:

1. Identify the stored procedure that generates the table
2. Document the column list, including any derived/calculated fields
3. Record all indexes
4. List all source tables used to generate the data
5. Identify any other procedures that reference this table

Standardisation Requirements

All assessed procedures must follow consistent standards, including:

1. Use of a clear and consistent naming convention (e.g. PascalCase)
2. Proper header structure and documentation
3. Implementation of error handling and logging
4. Consistent and well-defined variable declarations
