About the Programme

What the Programme Involves
Successful applicants will:
- Attend a 9-week induction programme away from home
- Participate in a Youth Leadership Development Programme
- Undergo structured training aligned with traffic officer requirements
- Engage in community service activities
This is not a classroom-only programme—you must be prepared for discipline, physical fitness, and field-based training.

- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Proof of address (Traditional Council or Municipal Councillor letter)
- Grade 12 certificate or statement of results
- Updated CV with at least 2 contactable references
- Fully completed and signed application form
Important:

Requirements
To qualify for the NARYSEC Traffic Officer Learnership 2026, you must meet all of the following:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- Have a Grade 12 certificate or statement of results
- Reside within Johannes Phumani Phungula Local Municipality
- Be unemployed and not currently studying
- Have no criminal record
- Possess a valid Code B driver’s license
- Be medically fit (medical and physical assessments required)
- Have basic English proficiency (minimum 40%)
Note:
Applicants with post-matric qualifications may apply, but preference may be given to those whose highest qualification is Grade 12.
