About the PEP Stores W&R SETA Learnership Programme 2026

The purpose of the Wholesale and Retail Distribution NQF Level 2 Certificate is to equip learners with knowledge and understanding of the key principles and functions within the wholesale and retail distribution sector.

Participants will gain practical experience and learn about stock handling, quality control, health and safety procedures, and warehouse operations. Upon successful completion, learners will possess valuable skills that can improve their future employment opportunities within the retail and distribution sectors.

Learnership Responsibilities

Successful learners will be responsible for performing various warehouse and distribution tasks, including:

  • Picking stock accurately according to required standards
  • Building and stacking pallets correctly
  • Conducting quality inspections based on standard measurements
  • Counting leftover stock accurately
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring quality outputs are delivered consistently
  • Following standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Assisting in Picking, Line of Sight, Pallet Building, and Quality Control departments
  • Maintaining high standards of workplace organisation and efficiency

Preferred Requirements

The following requirements will be advantageous:

  • South African citizenship
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to use databases and spreadsheets
  • Applicants between the ages of 18 and 33 years
  • Must not have participated in a Wholesale and Retail SETA Learnership previously
