Pick n Pay Graduate Internship Programme 2023/2024

Pick n Pay has an exciting opportunity for Graduate Trainee Buyers with strong academic profiles and matric mathematics, also at a higher level.

We are looking for graduates who are recently qualified, passionate about retail, have a natural flair for numbers coupled with excellent communication skills (verbal and written), are high in energy and drive, and enjoy engaging with people.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with all buying support teams and participate in on-the-job training.
• Participating in meetings, workshops, and team-building events.
• Compile reports and present them to other staff members.
• Analyze existing systems and present new ideas for improvement.
• Conduct research and assist the Manager or Supervisor wherever possible.
• Complete fieldwork and visit different work sites when required.
• Administratively supporting all aspects of the buying process.
• Compiling, balancing, and updating spreadsheets and reports.
• Building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
• Research new suppliers and recommendations to the buyer.
• General office administration and ad hoc duties as required by the department.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Degree – (i.e. in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Management, Maths, Stats, Economics, etc)
• Honours Degree will be advantageous
• Recent Graduate (No work experience required)
• Computer literate (Excel PowerPoint & Word)
• Intermediate Ms Excel knowledge (Advantageous)

Location: Kenilworth – Cape Town / Kensington – Johannesburg.
