The following  jobs opportunities are available

1.Electoral Staff (Various positions)

The purpose of this job is to contribute towards strengthening electoral democracy processes by assisting in coordinating and implementing the voting and results programmes of the Electoral Commission at voting station level.

2.Counting Votes Officers

The purpose of this job is to assist the Electoral Matters department with material reconciliation, ballot verification, counting of votes and finalisation of results of the election.

Duties and responsibilities

• Verification of special votes
• Assist with the general coordination of the counting and results recording processes;
• Assist with the counting of votes
•  Conduct all related voting and results activities.
• Conduct or assist with collection of addresses.
• Conduct or assist with completion of forms.
• Conduct or assist with operation of the Voter Management Device (VMD),

Minimum requirements

• Must be an SA citizen
• Must be a registered voter
• In the last five years must not have held political office or been a candidate in an election or have been politically active for a political party or campaigning for a political party
• In the last five years must not have been elected to office in an organisation that has party political affiliations or aims
• Must not contest the current elections or be an agent in the elections
• Must not have been convicted of serious criminal offence(s)
• Must have a valid bank account and must be a registered taxpayer with SARS
