The programme prepares trainees to protect company assets and legal partnership agreements from the adverse consequences of SHERQ-related emergency incidents by developing skills in firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency preparedness within a high-risk industrial environment.<\/p>\n<h3>Duties and Responsibilties<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply SHE best practices during all activities pertaining to emergency management.<\/li>\n<li>Perform duties according to instruction.<\/li>\n<li>Partake in training to ensure mental and physical fitness in preparation of handling Incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in KPA and PDP discussions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure performance against KPA\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure own delivery on PDP actions.<\/li>\n<li>Work cooperatively with all stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>React to emergency situation accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Reconditioning of firefighting and life support \/ loan equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Servicing of all portable firefighting equipment in plants and buildings.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and propose improvements to emergency management maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and propose improvements in effectiveness and service delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Make suggestions and contributions to safety improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in housekeeping activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 with Mathematics\u00a0or equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<li>Medically fit, according to relevant Fire Fighter fitness level assessment<\/li>\n<li>0-5 years relevant experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Advantageous<\/h3>\n<p>The following certifications will be beneficial but are not mandatory:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fire fighter 1 &amp; 2 (NFPA 1001) &#8211; (Wish)<\/li>\n<li>HPCSA Registered and current BAA (BLS) or First Aid Level 3 \u2013 (Wish)<\/li>\n<li>HPCSA Registered and current ILS \u2013 (Wish)<\/li>\n<li>Hazmat awareness and operations (NFPA 1072\/472) &#8211; (Wish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>Candidates are placed in a firefighting rank based on their experience, completed courses, and the requirements outlined in Sasol\u2019s Emergency Management career path and policies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Location:\u00a0<\/b>Secunda, South Africa<\/p>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.sasol.com\/job\/Secunda-Fire-Fighter-in-Training-Maintenance-x2\/1369009333\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply here online for Sasol Fire Fighter Training Programme 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Closing date: <b>\u00a0<\/b>09 March 2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sasol invites all suitable unemployed individuals to apply for their Fire Fighter Training Programme 2026 Programme Overview Sasol\u00a0is offering a\u00a0Fire Fighter in Training Programme\u00a0that provides candidates with practical experience in industrial emergency response.
