This internship provides hands-on exposure to data management, warehousing processes, and working with large datasets in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.<\/p>\n

Open to candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, the programme focuses on developing practical skills, analytical thinking, and a solid understanding of data systems, making it an ideal opportunity for aspiring data professionals to kick-start their careers.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

Table Metadata (Extract and Transform)<\/strong><\/p>\n

For each table in the Extract layer:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Identify the\u00a0SSIS package name\u00a0used to load the table<\/li>\n
  2. If no SSIS package exists, identify the related stored procedure and add it to the\u00a0SSIS conversion priority list<\/li>\n
  3. Record the\u00a0source system\u00a0and original table name<\/li>\n
  4. Determine how often the data is\u00a0updated (frequency)<\/li>\n
  5. Identify\u00a0key columns\u00a0used for updates (e.g. ID, Created_At, Updated_At)<\/li>\n
  6. Document any\u00a0indexes\u00a0associated with the table<\/li>\n
  7. Specify the\u00a0SSIS solution\/project name<\/li>\n
  8. Identify procedures used for\u00a0post-SSIS inserts and updates<\/li>\n
  9. List any other procedures that reference this table<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For each table in the Transform layer:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Identify the\u00a0stored procedure\u00a0that generates the table<\/li>\n
    2. Document the\u00a0column list, including any\u00a0derived\/calculated fields<\/li>\n
    3. Record all\u00a0indexes<\/li>\n
    4. List all\u00a0source tables\u00a0used to generate the data<\/li>\n
    5. Identify any other procedures that reference this table<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Standardisation Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

      All assessed procedures must follow consistent standards, including:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Use of a clear and consistent\u00a0naming convention\u00a0(e.g. PascalCase)<\/li>\n
      2. Proper\u00a0header structure and documentation<\/li>\n
      3. Implementation of\u00a0error handling and logging<\/li>\n
      4. Consistent and well-defined\u00a0variable declarations<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
