To apply for the Diploma in Nursing (R171) at the Mpumalanga College of Nursing, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 36 years old.
• Educational Qualifications:
  • A National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent, with a diploma/degree endorsement.
  • English at Level 4 (HG D/SG C) or higher.
  • Life Science/Biology/Physiology at Level 4 (HG E/SG D) or higher.
  • Mathematics at Level 3 (HG E/SG D) or Mathematical Literacy at Level 5 or higher.
  • Physical Science, Agriculture, or Geography at Level 4 or higher.
• Admission Point Score (APS): The minimum total APS for the six highest scoring subjects should not be less than 23, excluding Life Orientation.
• Residency: Applicants must be residents of Mpumalanga Province.
• Health Requirements: Applicants with disabilities will be considered in line with the inherent requirements of the nursing duties.
