Position: General Workers (x37 posts)
Salary: R9,832.13 per month

Duties and Responsibilities 

The General Workers will be responsible for various tasks related to maintenance, cleaning, administrative duties, admission management, and more within Table Mountain National Park.

The duties include:

• General maintenance and upkeep of the park.
• Cleaning of facilities and visitor areas.
• Basic administrative tasks.
• Assisting with admission management.
• Maintenance of tourism facilities.
• Refuse removal and cleaning.
• Basic traffic management and access control.
• Information dissemination.
• Wildfire suppression if required.
• Patrols, inspections, and other ad hoc tasks.

Minimum requirements 

• Grade 12 (Standard 10).
• 1-2 years of practical work experience in a similar working environment.
• Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and First Aid.
• A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
• SARS Tax Reference.
• Clear Criminal Record.
• Proficiency in English and other local languages.
• Must be physically fit to work long hours on your feet in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays between December 15, 2023, and January 15, 2024, as per operational requirements.
