Clover Stock Counter Job Overview
As a Stock Counter, you will play an important role in ensuring the Clover Café, Shop, and other distribution areas remain fully stocked. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock counts, processing documentation, and resolving stock discrepancies.
The position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and stock control.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Stock Control and Inventory Management
- Receive stock deliveries and compare received items against purchase orders.
- Track stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and spot checks.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
- Remove damaged, expired, short-dated, or recalled stock.
- Ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive products.
- Report stock discrepancies and inventory variances.
Stock Distribution
- Distribute stock to the Clover Café, Clover Shop, and building kitchens.
- Ensure stock is issued according to company standards.
- Pick stock when inventory queries arise.
- Support departments with stock requests.
Documentation and Administration
- Submit invoices for processing.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and stock movements.
- Process returns for damaged, expired, or recalled products.
- Complete stock control administration duties.
- Prepare inventory reports.
Discrepancy Resolution
- Investigate inventory variances.
- Work with supervisors and purchasing departments to resolve stock issues.
- Follow up on unresolved discrepancies.
- Report inventory concerns promptly.
Supplier Liaison
- Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery or stock issues.
- Assist with ordering stock for the Clover Café and Clover Shop.
- Ensure stock orders are placed on time.
