Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be proficient in English and at least one other official language.
  • Possess an ABET Level 4, Grade 9 (Standard 7), or NQF Level 1 qualification.
  • Have basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Depending on the specific post, successful candidates will perform duties such as:

  • Receiving stationery, uniforms and other government stock.
  • Checking stock for quality and quantity.
  • Sorting, packing and storing stock items.
  • Picking stock according to issue vouchers.
  • Issuing uniforms, medals and accessories.
  • Assembling ranks and preparing uniform items.
  • Ironing chest badges onto uniforms.
  • Loading and unloading stock.
  • Recording stock movements.
  • Conducting stock counts and annual stocktaking.
  • Maintaining stock registers.
  • Packing stock into designated racks and storage bins.
  • Dispatching stock to various SAPS units.
  • Filing issue vouchers and stock documentation.
  • Assisting with warehouse and inventory management functions.
