South African youth with technical and engineering qualifications continue searching for opportunities that provide real workplace experience and practical artisan skills. One of the biggest challenges facing many graduates after completing Grade 12, NCV, or engineering studies is gaining industry exposure that leads to long-term employment.
The FoodBev SETA funded Millwright Training Programme offered through Tshwane South TVET College is becoming one of the most promising technical opportunities for 2026.
This programme is particularly valuable because Millwrights remain in high demand across manufacturing, food production, industrial maintenance, engineering, automation, and processing industries throughout South Africa.
For young people interested in becoming qualified artisans, this programme could provide the practical skills and industry foundation needed to start a successful technical career.
