Participants will be placed at Nedbank branches, offices, and sites across South Africa, with some roles offering hybrid or remote working options, depending on operational requirements.


Who Can Apply for the Nedbank YES Programme?

To qualify for the Nedbank YES Programme 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be between 18 and 29 years old as of 1 May 2026
    (Born between 2 May 1997 and 1 May 2008)
  • Have at least a Matric (Grade 12) qualification, or
  • Have successfully completed a post-matric qualification, including: NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate) ,NQF Level 6 (Diploma) ,NQF Level 7 (Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Be currently unemployed
  • Be a South African-born African, Coloured, or Indian citizen, in line with the BBBEE Act definition of “black people”
  • Must not have participated in a YES Programme with another organisation before

Meeting all the above criteria is essential for consideration.


Programme Duration and Start Date

Successful Nedbank YES youth will be employed on a 12-month contract to gain quality work experience.

  • Programme duration: 12 months
  • Start date: 01 May 2026

This fixed-term contract allows participants to build experience, confidence, and workplace readiness within a reputable organisation.


How Much Will Nedbank YES Youth Earn?

Participants in the Nedbank YES Programme will receive a monthly stipend, guided by the YES Programme framework.

A stipend is financial support intended to assist with:

  • Living expenses
  • Food costs
  • Travel to and from work

While this is not a salary, it provides essential support during the 12-month work experience period.


Where Will the Work Experience Take Place?

Work placements will be based at Nedbank sites across South Africa, including branches and corporate offices.
